Sometimes we need to simply endure the emotional turmoil and the painful crown of thorns, whatever that may mean in our lives, because such things prepare our hearts as God's dwelling place.
Scripture: I want to know Christ and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in His sufferings, becoming like Him in His death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead. Philippians 3:10-11
Author Bio:
Elisabeth Elliot (1926-2015) was a missionary whose first husband, Jim Elliot, was killed during an attempt to bring the gospel to the Auca (now Huaorani) tribe of Eastern Ecuador. In an act of forgiveness and courage, Elisabeth returned to that tribe as a missionary two years later. When she came back to the US, she spent decades speaking and telling her story, in addition to writing over 20 books. Her books explore topics like God’s love and mercy, persevering through suffering, and embracing God’s purpose for your life.
