A New Season
Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God

We have just gone into Spring and doesn't it make a difference!? Suddenly it feels warmer (even if it isn't!) and lighter and there is an increasing sense of hope and things awakening, especially with the promise of the end of Lockdown in sight. As the flowers and trees begin to bud, bloom and grow, we think about our relationship with God doing the same. We can decide to put the old season behind us and to eagerly anticipate and embrace the new season. Perhaps the old season has left you desolate, weakened, afraid and wary? What will the next season hold? Perhaps it's a good time to remind ourselves that God is with us in every season, that He has gone into the next season ahead of us to prepare the way. In the next season doors will open, clouds will disappear, we will know His warmth and watering as He prepares and encourages us to follow Him into it. We cannot know what it holds, but we do know who holds it. Corrie Ten Boom said, " Never be afraid to trust an unknown future to a known God". God alone knows the warm days and the cold, hard days ahead of us and He will carry us through both. Let's expect to see the green shoots of new life and new growth and leave the brown leaves of yesterday to break down and, as a ‘mulch’, do their work of providing strength and sustenance for the future.
